There can be plenty of reasons for that: practicality, for easthetic reasons, to “look like a boy” or be more masculine, to go against feminine norms… But here are my reasons.

I didn’t want to look like a boy and it wasn’t an act of rebellion either, actually i was hoping that it would somehow insance my feminity which is funny because i’ve never looked more masculin in my life than now and also queer, it wasn’t the original plan but it was kind of predictable.

But most importantly, I never felt more like myself and I’m pretty sure i can rock this hairstyle, I find it original and it makes me happy and that’s all that counts. Yes there is no big reason behind this decision and yes for now only some men have told me they prefer my longer hair and only men have said that which I find quite interesting and yes I really don’t care about others opinions because it’s my hair and I’ve decided that’s the way I want it.
